Your mission
Until now, Złotów meant holidays at Grandma’s, swims in the lake and bicycle rides. One sentence at a family dinner changes everything: Grandma recalls attending a Polish school. Why does she stress that it was Polish? Instead of giving an answer, she hands her grandson an album filled with drawings, postcards and clues. She tells him to seek the Truths himself.
Take on her challenge and set off from Złotów’s Town Hall. The tasks lead through the city’s streets, past historic buildings, churches and places of remembrance. You will assemble old illustrations, solve logic puzzles and look for information in your surroundings. With every stage, family memories gain a broader context, and familiar places reveal a lesser-known past.
“Trail of the Truths” combines a city game with the story of Złotów’s Polish community, its everyday life and its efforts to preserve its identity. It is for anyone who enjoys a walk that also gives them something to talk about. Open the album and discover the story Grandma wanted to share.
